With years of industry experience and extensive manufacturing capabilities, we can work with our clients from start to finish to create quality tape and label products that meet your requirements for adhesion performance, safety, advertisement, and more. At NADCO, “If you can imagine it, we will make it stick!”

Our Custom-Made Tape and Label Process

From conceptual design to completion of full production runs, NADCO is by your side each step of the way. When you partner with us to create your custom tape or label solution, we’ll follow these steps:

STEP 1

Conceptual
Design

Through effective communication with our clients, we’ll gain a better understanding of their ideas and intended applications. During this stage, we may ask for technical drawings, mock-ups, or material samples.

STEP 2

Material Specs / Recommendations

With info from the first step, we will recommend certain adhesives, materials, manufacturing steps, etc. required to achieve the client’s goal. If needed, NADCO can send material samples for the client’s review and approval before proceeding.

STEP 3

Receive a
Quote

After finalizing all specs and materials, we present formal quotes for tooling, plates, etc.

STEP 4

Proofing

Customers receive an electronic proof showing all colors, graphics, text, dimensions, and other applicable parameters for approval. NADCO doesn’t order any tooling or plates until the proof is approved.

STEP 5

First Article
Inspection (FAI)

If required, FAI is performed. This allows engineers to inspect, test, and approve finished product samples before larger production runs.

STEP 6

Production Run

After FAI (if applicable) approval, we’ll complete the full production run.

Custom Tape & Label Materials

Depending on your particular needs, our custom tape and label solutions can be constructed using the following materials:

Custom Tape & Label Materials
Custom Tape & Label Materials
  • Vinyl
This long-lasting material performs optimally in several application environments and won’t deteriorate over time, ensuring a longer shelf life. Vinyl tapes and labels instantly stick on contact and can even outlast paint.
  • Foam
Foam adhesive tape is reinforced with numerous foam materials and is available in various sizes, backings, thicknesses, and adhesive options to meet your particular application requirements. They are commonly used for sealing, cushioning, insulation, gasketing, and sound-dampening purposes.
  • Foil
Foil tapes are very durable and often used in outdoor applications exposed to temperature extremes, moisture, UV rays, and other harsh conditions.
  • Tyvek
This strong, lightweight, and flexible material is resistant to aging, chemical abrasion, and water. This makes it an ideal choice for various printing and converting applications that require a high degree of durability.
  • Mylar
With a silver polyester surface, our Mylar tapes have a long-lasting attractive appearance and can adhere to a diverse range of surfaces.
  • Paper
Often referred to as masking tape, paper tapes offer varying levels of removability, temperature resistance, and holding power. They are commonly used for mounting, color coding, packaging, and splicing applications.

Why Do Engineers Love Working With NADCO?

NADCO has a reputation for making the impossible possible. If other vendors hit a dead end on a new project, they often recommend us because, “If you can imagine it, NADCO will make it stick!” We are just as passionate about your project as we are about our own, and we strive to ensure your project’s success. Engineers love to work with NADCO because:

We Listen

We Listen

We rely on a listen, research, and respond approach to ensure we come up with the best possible solution. This starts by asking questions and gathering as much information as we can. Then, if we can’t come up with an immediate idea, we’ll do some research and quickly respond with a custom solution.

We Have an Excellent Response Time

We Have an Excellent Response Time

Our VP of sales is almost always accessible and will immediately respond to emails or answer client phone calls, even after hours. This level of customer support is not often found elsewhere.

We Are Confident

When working with less accommodating vendors, the custom tape and label process can be stressful and frustrating. At NADCO, our high level of confidence and industry knowledge makes engineers feel good about partnering with us.

We Offer Custom Capabilities

We specialize in customization with our ability to convert and print in-house. We can customize every aspect of a project, from custom adhesive options to removing adhesives in specific areas of a finished product. Compared to other vendors that may lack the proper tools and machinery, NADCO has a wide array of equipment to help us complete your project under one roof.

We Have Faster Lead Times

All of our tooling and equipment are sourced right here in the USA, ensuring better availability and shortened lead times. You’ll never have to worry about your work getting farmed out to overseas operations because we do it all in our USA facility.

How Does NADCO Make Engineers’ Jobs Easier?

  • SUPPORT Engineers At Every Production Stage

NADCO supports engineers at every production stage, with transparent communication regarding any issues that may require real-time changes to the ‘recipe’. With over 35 years of experience, we’ve seen almost everything and can help you avoid potential failures caused by poor material choices. If your material ideas are not likely to work well, trust us to tell you that upfront and make reliable suggestions for alternative materials or production methods.

  • SOURCING 'Hard to Find' PS or Non-PS Materials

Since stock materials do not always work for an engineer’s specific needs, we can source ‘hard to find’ PS or non-PS materials. We have well-developed relationships with raw material vendors and a wealth of knowledge available to help guide engineers to the best materials for their projects to ensure a successful outcome.

  • SUCCESS Help Make It Happen

At NADCO, we want your project to succeed, and we want you to remember who helped make it happen. Compared to other shops that may not plan for the longevity of your product’s success, NADCO makes sure to look at everything, including future production runs and how to optimize products going forward. This ensures you end up with a product that lasts at an affordable price.

Testimonials

“What an incredible company! They were able to take my idea and make it a reality. Kind, professional staff that went out of their way to help my company. Five stars.”

Nick N. / Retail Product Engineer

We have received and tested the sample rolls- everyone is extremely happy with the quality of the print. We have never had such clear printing on the labels!!!

Ray/ Pharmaceutical Industry

I choose to make my labels with you because the turnaround time was great with any questions I had. This was my first time making these labels with very little to no knowledge of how to make. I had enough guidance to feel confident in the purchase I was making. Once I run out of these labels, I will be back for more!
